Winter Walks & Warm Pubs in Looe

Winter on the south Cornwall coast is something special. The crowds have gone, the air is crisp, and the South West Coast Path is at its most dramatic. From Granite Henge you can be on the coast path at Looe or Polperro in minutes.

Our favourite winter walks

The Looe to Polperro coast path is a classic — about four miles of clifftop walking with stunning sea views. In winter you'll often have it to yourself. Start at Hannafore and head west, or park at Polperro and walk back.

For something gentler, the Looe Valley branch line walk follows the river from Looe station inland through wooded valleys — sheltered from the wind and beautiful in low winter light.

Where to warm up afterwards
